Peak Orthotics works with 3 types of 3D volumetric foot models:

  • 3D Contact Digitizing
  • Foam Impression casts
  • Plaster casts

From these models (foam impression and plaster casts), Peak uses laser scanning technology to bring the patient’s foot data into a digital format, creating a 3D model of the foot and the orthotic to be milled.

Next, EVA foam blocks are loaded and carved by our precise CAD/CAM millers.

Then, the orthotic is laminated with a top cover of choice. The final step is to buff and adjust the device to fit the patient’s intended footwear.
